1. Continue discussion of "Woodchucks" by Maxine Kumin.
2. Discuss aspects of "Feminist Criticism and Hamlet" article.

Tuesday
1. Group reading and Cornell Notes on Act 5, Scene 1 (pp. 142 and 143).

Wednesday
1.  Review Act 5, Scene 1.
2. Start Act 5, Scene 2...continue Cornell Notes (pp. 142 and 143).

Thursday
1. Finish Hamlet!!!
2. Complete Act 5 Cornell Notes, including summary.
HW: Read "Marxist Criticism and Hamlet" article.

Friday
1. 10 minute Brainstorm:  Write down 3 questions about the article that you would like to discuss on Tuesday.
2. Definitions of Tragedy Notes (p. 145) and Process (p. 144)
3. Hamlet as Tragic Hero graphic organizer (p. 147).  Clock buddy pairing to complete organizer.

2. New Year's Acrostic Poem.  Write an acrostic poem using a word related to New Year's.  Turn in tomorrow.
3. Discuss Psychoanalytical Crit. Article.  Turn in Psychoanalytical Crit. response.

1. Act 3 Cornell Notes (pp. 136 and 137).
2. Start Act 4...read scenes 1-4.
3. Act 4 Questions (pp. 138 and 139).

Wednesday
1. Finish Act 4.  Debrief Questions
2. Start Act 4 Cornell Notes (p. 140)

Thursday
1. Complete Act 4 Cornell Notes.
2. Process: Foil Illustration---Illustrate (by hand) how Fortinbras, Laertes, and Ophelia serve as foils to Hamlet.  Be sure to include both similarities and differences between each foil and Hamlet.  No stick figures!  (p. 141).
HW: Read "Feminist Criticism and Hamlet" article.

Friday
